At Well Dressed Walrus, we aim to make our service cancellation process clear and straightforward. Please review the following policy details regarding contract renewals, cancellation notice periods, and our cancellation procedure.
Submitting a Cancellation Request
All service cancellation requests must be submitted to us in writing. You can submit your cancellation request via:

Automatic Contract Renewal
To ensure uninterrupted service, all contracts with Well Dressed Walrus are renewed automatically for the same contract period as the initial term.
- Initial Term Renewal: At the end of your initial contract term, your order will automatically renew for successive terms equal to the initial term.
- Preventing Auto-Renewal: If you do not wish for your service to auto-renew, you must notify us in writing.
Required Notice for Cancellation
The notice period required for a cancellation to become effective depends on your contract term:
- Month-to-Month & Quarter-to-Quarter Terms: We require a 30-day notice for cancellation to become effective.
- Contract Terms of 1 Year or Greater: Your term will auto-renew unless we are notified at least 30 days prior to your renewal date.
Late Cancellation Notification & Fees
If a cancellation request for any product is submitted after the required 30-day notice period:
- You will still be subject to fees for the next billing cycle where notification was not given.
- You will receive a bill for one additional billing period.
- Your services will continue for this extra month, which can help facilitate a smoother transition to a new host if applicable.
- Your service will terminate after the end of this next billing cycle.
Cancellation Process
When you submit a cancellation request, we will follow this process:

Confirmation and Verification:
- We will contact you (via email, or phone call if the initial request was not by email) to confirm receipt of your cancellation request.
- During this contact, we will verify that you are authorized to cancel the account by speaking with the person listed on the account.
- We will also verify your desired cancellation timeframes.

Service Marking and Termination:
- We will mark your services for cancellation on the date you specify.
- Default Cancellation Date: Unless you specify otherwise, your services will remain active until the end of the paid period for which you have already been billed.
- Immediate Cancellation: If you request immediate cancellation, the service will be terminated within the time it takes us to verify details and sunset the site, providing you with all details for licensing and backups. Please note that no refund will be issued for any remaining time on a paid period when immediate cancellation is requested, as per our 30-day policy.
- After the paid period has expired, your canceled services will no longer be available on our network.

Cancellation Confirmation:
- Upon confirmation of your cancellation, we will provide you with written confirmation.
- You will no longer receive further invoices for the canceled services/devices once the term has ended.
Exceptions to the Policy
Please note that certain products have different expiration terms and are exceptions to this general cancellation policy:
- Domains: Domains will expire at their normal expiration date.
- SSL Certificates: SSL certificates will expire at their normal expiration date.
Situations Where Cancellation May Be Denied
A cancellation request may be denied if there are outstanding balances for hosting services or work that has already been completed. All outstanding balances must be settled before a cancellation can be fully processed.
